Any trade system that requires the players to run back and forth between people congesting the streets of a town sucks. It Sucked in ROSE, it sucks in Shaiya, it just sucks. The XMP is way better.

Why its better ? The only plus it has is that u can put more items than u can write in trade channel in one message. What we need is an Auction House type of trade system , not any stupid and laggy stalls.

Stalls would be better than what we have now, since they would allow AFK selling, but the Xunlai Marketplace we can suspect with the 'gathered data' during those GW.dat browsings would be better than stalls, since it would allow selling while playing.

since we have limited ppl per district and all that, a stall system would not be that great, altough anything is better then nothing...
in lineage 2 for example, they have that system too, but everyone that comes in the city can see your stall, not only the ppl in the district. It is a nice system, but there are many other better systems that could be implemented...
the only difference between what we have and the stall system is that we can go afk, which is pretty much all i need to get rid of what ive been saving XD

It is still time wasted, the difference is the amount of time.

That's your opinion and you are entitled to that. Most players would disagree; however. A simple example is the difference in price u get between the trader and the merchant for rare materials, anyone sold an ecto to the merchant lately?

Again a matter of opinion.

Even in eBay you can set such prices.
It's called a 'sale'. You lose gold to get faster gold.

True, but direct sales are optional in the auction system. You can CHOOSE to wait and see how high your items will go in a bidding fest, or OPT to sell directly for a lesser price.

Yup, that's why auctions should not be allowed, otherwise someone may feel the temptation to use them.
That would be bad.

No info yet because it was all rumors. Just something to get us excited for a while.
The trade system and the economy in GW are dead and have been dead for a while. No XMP rumors are going to fix that.

I'm still hoping something is going to happen with this. If it isn't, I think it's bad form of Anet not immediately putting the rumors to rest.

I'm very interested in this, and hope it happens, soon. It might get me to come back to the game for more than a nanosecond.

Well, with every update an in each event I wait for something new about this...
It's alll "Maybe in the birthday", "Maybe next event", "maybe after summer", "maybe..."...
It would be easier if we knew for sure if something like this is real or not.
